Won't Be Famous Without a Suit

Ok, this is a quick post, I’ve lots to do. Firstly, an issue has come up about posting my learning journal and until I’ve got it fully resolved I’m going to hold off from including it in my blog. I will put it in if I can, but hey, we’ll see.

Second, I’ve got to get my stuff together because I’m off to the UK Music Hall of Fame Awards!! How cool is that!? I got a phone call on Monday telling me I’d won two tickets. Talk about making my day. Accommodation is at a four star hotel in London, travel expenses are paid and I’ll get to see one of my all time favourite bands, the Eurythmics, in the flesh. If I was American I’d be ‘stoked’ (I think). This probably sounds like smug bragging but hey so what. Only trouble is dress code is ‘smart’ and everyone I’ve spoken to seems to think that means suited and booted. Shit. I’ve got one hour before my coach tomorrow to run around like a blue arsed fly to either get a cheap suit that looks expensive or a pair of trousers to match the one jacket I have. I’m kind of wishing I’d spent more money on clothes than cigs now. Bugger. Anyway, I’ll have some time in London as well so I should be able to find something (fingers crossed, touch wood, turn around three times on one leg etc).

Ok, got to go pack.
